Winning project: BIO-CERRADO
Winning company: RED CLAY MANAGEMENT
The BIO-CERRADO pilot project aims to establish a profitable BIO farm model adapted to the climate of the Brazilian Cerrado, diversified and decarbonized, water-efficient, making it possible to achieve 40% woodland cover and preserve water resources.
The creation of a “CarboChar” pilot unit will enable degraded land to be converted into arable land, significantly increasing agricultural yields and preserving water on the arable surface.
This pilot project will lead to the creation of a marketing network for Pyrolysis machines in Brazil, whose sales potential should be boosted by the expected success of the organic farming model.
Technological solution for the BIO-CERRAD pilot project: CarboChar process from LifeChar S.A.S.

CALL FOR EXPORT PROJECTS: Innovative solutions for decarbonizing essential services

This call for projects “Innovative solutions for the decarbonization of essential services” aims to support projects that meet the priority needs of developing countries in terms of access to water, energy, mobility, health, education, healthy food and housing, while limiting carbon emissions.
The solutions proposed must be powered by low-carbon energy sources, or offer real energy efficiency compared with existing processes. These projects must generate a significant leverage effect, with the possibility of replicating the solution in other countries and regions, in order to open up export prospects for French companies.
After receiving 56 applications for solutions in 36 countries, the projects were reviewed by a committee made up of representatives from the French Treasury, the Ministry of Ecological Transition (MTE), the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAA), the Ministry of Solidarity and Health (MSS), the French Development Agency (AFD) and ADEME.
A total of 19 projects in 19 different countries will benefit from government support under this France Relance call for projects, for a total of €8.8 million, financed by the Fonds d’études et d’aide au secteur privé (FASEP). 16 of these projects are being carried out by small and medium-sized businesses.
